Sandra is a member of ICM (International Confederation of Midwives) and she has been an International speaker on subjects including lesbian health care, fertility and preconceptual care, intimate partner violence and cultural aspects of childbirth. She has participated in research in cervical cancer and is a member of the Michigan Cervical Cancer Consortium.
Sandra enjoys her practice as a nurse midwife. She feels that giving birth is a transformative and empowering experience for women and their families. Her pastimes are traveling and practicing yoga.
