For critical or life threatening situations call 911.
Please limit calls after hours to urgent needs or possible labor. If you have an urgent medical situation, call our office at 616-774-2400 to reach our answering service. They will contact the doctor or midwife on call immediately, who will return your call as soon as possible.

When scheduling an appointment, please describe your needs to our staff so that an appropriate length of time can be reserved for you.
We make every effort to see patients at their scheduled times, however, sometimes we are called out of the office for a delivery or surgery. Our staff will attempt to notify you by phone so that you can choose to wait or reschedule your appointment. |
| Cancellations: |
If you cannot keep your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice.
If you will be unavoidably late, please call to let us know. If you arrive very late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. |
Hospital Affiliations:
Our physicians and midwives are on staff at at Spectrum Health-Butterworth.
Prescriptions & Refills:
Please call our office during business hours for requests for refills as we must review your chart first. Please have the name of the pharmacy ready. We discourage prescribing new medications over the phone as an accurate diagnosis is usually possible only with an office visit.
Insurance Accepted:
As a private practice our office accepts the following insurance plans
some of which may change without notice:
All BlueCross/BlueShield Plans, Priority Health,
Cigna, United Health Care, CoFinity, and PHCS.
Fees and Payment:
Our fees are based on the usual and customary professional fees for obstetrics and gynecology in the Grand Rapids area. For services not covered by insurance, we accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard. For other payment arrangemants, please call our office manager prior to your appointment to make arrangements.
Privacy Policy:
Your medical information is strictly confidential. We will not release it to anyone without your written consent. A family member may, however, accompany you to your appointments if you wish. If you need a copy of your medical records sent to another physician we will require written permission from you.
