Kara Argo joined our practice in January of 2004. Kara is an Obstetric Ultrasound Specialist with more than 19 years of scanning experience in obstetric ultrasound. She trained at the Maryland Institute of Ultrasound Technology (Johns Hopkins Hospital) and went on to perform high-risk ultrasound at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Her ultrasound background includes both research and educational interests with the publication of several ultrasound textbooks and numerous research articles pertaining to fetal development. Kara especially enjoys teaching ultrasound having taught medical students and resident physicians during her career in ultrasound. She has lectured extensively at many local, regional and national educational conferences.

Kara has received national recognition for her contributions to the field of diagnostic ultrasound. She has worked with many of the perinatologists (specialists in ultrasound and high-risk pregnancy) in Grand Rapids giving our patients the expertise of a perinatal sonographer in our practice.
